How often can one take a dividend from the company

What is a dividend?

A dividend is the distribution of ‘after tax profits’ to the shareholders of a limited company.

After tax profits = Total Revenue – Expenses – Company Taxes.

One can take out dividends at any time during the financial year. The key though is that the dividend taken must not be more than the final profit after tax of the company.
